At Shivraj Pet Clinic, caring for animals isn't just our profession — it's our family legacy.
Rooted in generations of empathy and respect for animals, our journey began long before the clinic opened its doors. Dr. Shivaji Vidhate spent decades as Pune's District Animal Husbandry Officer, treating field and companion animals across the region. What started as a public-service career evolved into a lifelong commitment to veterinary excellence.
In 2013, that legacy found a permanent home in Shivraj Pet Clinic — opened as among the few clinics in PCMC to treat dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, turtles, and other exotic animals all under one roof, with full diagnostic, lab, and surgical capability on-site.
Today, the clinic is led by Dr. Shivaji's son, Dr. Pritesh Vidhate, who trained specifically in exotic animal medicine — a specialty most clinics in Pune still don't offer. Together, father and son have treated over 2,500 pet families, with neither generation losing the instinct that started it all: every animal, no matter how common or rare, deserves expert care and a gentle hand.
We don't see ourselves as a chain or a franchise. We're a neighbourhood clinic that happens to have hospital-grade equipment — and we intend to stay that way.
